Accessibility

Disabled Car Parking

Upon arrival follow the one way system to the back of the building where the conference entrance is located. Disabled Parking is clearly marked directly to the left of the Conference entrance. If more designated disabled parking is required this can easily be pre arranged and reserved for your event. Automatic doors allow easy access into the Conference Reception and there is a door bell for assistance if for any reason these doors are not working.

Access around the Building

The Centre has lift access to all three floors, level floors & wide doorways on every floor and disabled toilet facilities on two floors. To comply with fire regulations some of our doors are heavy fire doors which can be tricky to open for un-accompanied wheelchair users. If you need a hand just let reception know and we will be happy to accompany you to your meeting room.

Wheelchairs & Induction loops

Both wheelchairs and induction loops are available to borrow for the duration of your visit. We would ask that delegates pre-book this with their Conference Account Manager in advance of their event, by calling 01926 645040 or sending us an email.

Accessibility in the Museum

The Museum has lift access to all levels and wide gangways to accommodate wheelchairs. Both wheelchairs and a portable induction loops are available to borrow from the museum pay desk or conference reception. Our exhibitions using audio also feature built in induction loops. For overseas delegates there is an introduction to the Heritage Motor Centre and its exhibitions, available in 14 different languages from the museum pay desk.
