Our Responsibility

Heritage Motor Centre and the Environment

Our Responsibility - Environment

The Heritage Motor Centre recognises that its operations have an effect on the local, regional and global environment and is committed to continuous improvement in its environmental performance. Examples of this commitment include:

  • Introduction of a building management system to maintain temperature when required and switch off when not required, thus reducing energy consumption
  • Installation of our own bottling plant complete with recycled glass water bottles for all our delegate water, removing the need for plastic water bottles and delivery.
  • Usage of piped natural gas, removing transportation requirements for LPG
  • Extensive recycling programme
  • Food sourced locally where possible
  • Coffee supplied from Fair Trade sources only

Heritage Motor Centre and the Local Community

Our Responsibility - CommunityThe Centre employs around 130 staff many of whom are drawn from the local community. All staff are trained in ‘Dignity at Work’ and ‘Disability Awareness and Etiquette’. Wherever possible the Heritage Motor Centre assists the local community:

  • Assists local charitable/community events by the loan of historic vehicles from the Trust’s collection, the loan of hospitality equipment and resources and donations for prizes
  • Works along side Youth Groups & Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme groups with under 17 driving programs (see image).
  • Offers facilities to Warwickshire Police to operate their ‘Bike Safe’ educational programme for motorcycle safety
