It's good to be green...

Our 4x4 track helps regulate the water levels around our site. Bow waves created by vehicles force water through our drainage system helping reduce local area flooding.

Heritage Motor Centre and Sustainability

The Heritage Motor Centre is operated by the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust who are a registered 'not for profit' educational charity. Heritage Motor Centre Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust and operates a number of commercial activities including a large Conference Centre.

All profits generated from Heritage Motor Centre Ltd are donated directly to the Trust.

Heritage Motor Centre and the Environment

The Heritage Motor Centre recognises that its operations have an effect on the local, regional and global environment and is committed to continuous improvement in its environmental performance. Examples of this commitment include:

Bullet Introduction of a building management system to maintain temperature when required and switch off when not required, thus reducing energy consumption
Bullet Installation of a modern chiller plant also helping to reduce electricity usage
Bullet Usage of piped natural gas, removing transportation requirements for LPG
Bullet Extensive recycling programme
Bullet Food sourced locally where possible
Bullet Coffee supplied from Fair Trade sources only
Heritage Motor Centre and the Local Community

The Centre employs 130 staff many of whom are drawn from the local community. All staff are trained in 'Dignity at Work' and 'Disability Awareness and Etiquette'. Wherever possible the Heritage Motor Centre assists the local community:

Bullet Assists local charitable/community events by the loan of historic vehicles from the Trust's collection, the loan of hospitality equipment and resources and donations for prizes
Bullet Offers facilities to Warwickshire Police to operate their 'Bike Safe' educational programme for motorcycle safety
